ike made little to no appearance in austin this weekend, and i wish i could say the same for all the houston family and friends that have been shacking up with my co-workers. however, i can not, seeing as how the houston family and friends are still shacking up with my co-workers.

as for me, well, i got sent home at 2 on friday to ‘beat the traffic’ and ‘prepare for the hurricane’, so i peaced out to hole up in a friends house the entire weekend. all we did was watch movies and play with her dog. it was awesome. we watched charlie and the chocolate factory, smart people, ps i love you, and this horrible film called room 314, just in case you were wondering.

well, lots going on this week. i volunteer for a non-profit called ‘discoverhope’ (maybe your friends with us on facebook?), and we’re having a fundraiser on saturday. should be tons o’ fun, and i’m taking pictures for the event so you’ll see some of those up later.

ooh. i gotta work on nametags, too.

i’m going to be traveling a lot, starting this weekend, so my posts might become a little sporadic. but such is life. i knew you’d understand.
